Sightseeing Places in Mussoorie

Kempty Falls : Kempty falls is just an hour away from Mussoorie, on Yamunotri route. These hills are situated at an altitude of 4500ft. Its a very pretty waterfall surrounded by high mountains. Many tourists choose to take bath at the foot of these falls to refresh themselves. Its a real tourist trap May and June.

Gun Hill : Its the second highest peak of Mussoorie. You can enjoy ropeway ride from this hill. Ropeway distance is 400 mtrs. Gun Hill offers a picturesque view of Himalayan ranges namely Bunderpunch, Srikantha, Pithwara and Gangotri.

Municipal Gardens : Municipal garden, primarily known as Company Bagh has an impression of old gardens. It is a part of Happy Valley area. Company Bagh has a wide green carpet of neat and clean lawns. It has a lake and fountain in center. Municipal garden is a favorite picnic spot for many toyurists.

Jwalaji Temple (Benog Hill) and Nag Devta Temple : Jwalaji temple is situated on the top of the Benog Hill. This temple is dedecated to Mata Durga. Temple is surrounded by thick forests and mountains.
Nag Devta temple is an ancient temple dedicated to Nag Devta. Its situated in the middle of doon valley.

Camelas Back Road : This is a 4 KMs long stretch with a natural layout of rocks shaped like hump of a camel. This stretch starts from Library point to Kurli Bazaar. This is a perfect spot for morning and evening walks with a panaromic view of snow capped mountains.

Clouds End : This is the end of Mussoorie. Located at a distance of 6 Km from Library. Its covered by thick jungles and a walk of 2 Km takes you to Benong Wildlife Sanctuary.

By Air : Nearest airport is Jolly Grant airport in Dehradun, 58 KMs away from Mussorrie.
By Rail : Nearest Railhead: Dehra Dun. Dehra dun Shatabdi is the best option to reach.
By Road : Overnight buses are available from ISBT Kashmere gate. One can also opt for Volvo and deluxe coaches.
